Ah ha, I’ve waited a long time to get my hands on an open aired gig in Devizes, and then when I do about a dozen happen all at once.
This SUNDAY the 26th of August, will see me, with the help of some friends, erect a marquee in the Lottery Funded Hillworth Park, and then delight you aurally with some fantastic music. Please remember if you bring kids, it’s a reflection pool and they should be kept on leashes.
It’s a very simple set up; you bring a pic nic, I’ll bring the music and we can all do that thing in Frank Turner’s “Dan’s Song” where we all meet and have a shin dig in the park.
Music kicks off at 12.45 with our own awesome Jamie Coupe. We will be joined then by another local act, On Deaf Ears and their fantastic fiddle lead folky punk, and the event will finish around 3pm when The Doubtful Guest wrap up making us dance and jig with their San Francisco style Americana.
In the mean time, you may bring beers, as long as you have a pic nic and behave responsibly!
