Fantasy Introduces… (no more Matthew Corbett session)

Boom. In the wake of BBC Wiltshire Introducing being rather unfairly dropped, Fantasy Radio has stepped in to the gap, and is now the only session offering a dedicated 2 hours of Wiltshire wide music.

Previously known as the Matthew Corbett session, we’re dropping the Matthew Corbett tag, so we can offer different presenters in the inevitable wake of Matthew leaving in September. It also offers a similar name to the previous radio session, so you know what you’re getting before you tune in.

The new session has its first broadcast in the new format, of 2 hours, dedicated Wiltshire music from tonight, at 8pm on the usual 97fm – Devizes + mid-Wiltshire or on-line from

What we do lack though, is an “uploader” and the ability to interface with bands as easily. So we’re very much going to rely on word of mouth for bands to send us music – attempting to contact so many bands would be too much!

Musical submissions should be sent as original studio master WAV files (please do not send uncompressed MP3 files) – these can be sent via wesendit / dropbox etc – to the email address’ – or made available to download from the likes of Soundcloud – with all relevant information!

Looking forward to it!

  1. O2 here we come….Charlie-Anne Bradfield who is 14 years old this month has successfully made it through the Grand finals of the Open Mic Uk Live and UnSigned competition and is now in the finals which is being held at the O2 in London. It has all been so exciting for Charlie-Anne and she has really made the most of the opportunity to improve her singing and song writing ability . The performance which she sang and played acoustic guitar to was three minutes and thirty seconds long. She decided to do part of her own song which is called Un Named and part of a cover called Crazy by Ceelo Green . The two songs merged really well together and she was given really positive feed back from this. At the moment she is thinking hard about what song she will be doing next for the finals on January 19th 2013. She has been really busy and this week will be performing as part of the swindon town centre switch on, also the X factor judge Nicole and Jahmene a Swindon talent will be there. The town centre is set to receive 20,000 visitors so should be a really big fun event.Charlie-Anne says she would love to meet Jahmene but understands security will be tight around all the X factor team. She is also playing at bath road church and the moonrakers this month to help raise money for different charities. and Look Charlie-Anne up her new songs are on her soundcloud
