Put together by Malcolm Ship and the wonderful people at Seend Acoustic Club, the SEEND ACOUSTIC FESTIVAL 2013 has really surpassed their self this year with frankly, a stunning line up of folk / roots acts.
I really love people, who put together events that they have a genuine passion and love for – Malcolm knows his folk, and he know’s what he is doing, this event really speaks volumes for what he does.
Born from the regular Tuesday Acoustic-club night events held in Seend community centre, this year they boast some international quality in the shape of MOSCOW DRUG CLUB whose curious musical mash up of Berlin Cabaret, Hot Club de France, New Orleans Funeral Parade & Gypsy Campfire is probably the most exciting, description for a live band I’ve ever heard, and if that doesn’t whet your appetite or pique your interest, you don’t like music. They also happen to be veterans of the festival circuit, happening to of performed at Llama Tree, WOMAD, Bristol Jazz among others.
This all age, family friendly event will be set over two days on Friday and Saturday 6th & 7th of September, with day tickets available – at the usual site and grounds of Seend Community Centre.
Tickets range in price according to age and concessions from £15 to £45, including a £1 booking fee if bought on line.
