With over 181,000 Facebook fans, it’s fair to say Sam is well ‘Liked’. Since sprawling out of the hot bed of London in the early 00’s, Sam forged a career by playing the Uni circuit. His obvious handsome looks, cute comfortableness and simple songs played, with the aid of wicked and sometimes crazy loop pedals and fx tracks, have made him a staple of the underground. A well dressed hero for the discerning youth.

Well we’ve all grown up now, and so has Sam. Dropping his old name GET.CAPE.WEAR.CAPE.FLY in favour of his real name, we’re still treated to his pop songs, played through a myriad of instruments and layers.

Sam has always been there, right from the start of Sheer, but always been out of our reach. To have finally nabbed him for a show is an absolute delight! We first met him at one of Small Town America’s, legendary all days at 93 feet East. Where we were DJ’s, playing too loud in the room next to his, and being politely told off.

You’ll find Sam engaging and witty, fun and playful and his songs will live long in the memory – So please come and see our excellent year out in style!

Sam Duckworth – Free Mixtape + ‘off the beaten track’ Live Dates.

After a successful year touring his second solo album,‘Amazing Grace’ (released in spring of 2015 by Alcopop Records), the artists formerly known as Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is signing off the year with an off-piste tour. A rarity, for a man with over 1000 shows under his belt, in that (with the exception of one show) all these are in places new to Sam.

Taking in seven albums – a decade’s worth of material – this is a rare chance to see a retrospective acoustic set.

Support for the whole tour will come from Recreations

Sam has also today released a free mixtape which he describes as set in a “dystopian punk rock wasteland”… thirty minutes of new ideas. From the familiar, to the exotic, to the disturbing.

“I’m a big fan of the mixtape format” says Duckworth, “it gives a bit more elbow-room for experimentation and allows things to take a unique journey”.

The mixtape, entitled ‘College Font’ is available to download from
