I have the absolute pleasure of announcing that Jay McAllister aka BEANS ON TOAST will be returning to Wiltshire / Swindon on Wednesday 18th May.

Jay has a great history with us, after having played Moles, The Lamb and Swindon a number of times, we’re just sad it’s taken so long for the joyous return. The best part is, he will be performing with BOBBY BANJO!

Last time I saw Bobby was as I was kit guarding as Jay and Bobby were busking on the streets of Portsmouth after a gig supporting Frank Turner. That, or a Chuck Palahnuik talk in London, I forget which. Either way I am as excited about seeing him, as I am our favourite 40-a-day-habit vocalist.

Support for the show, and indeed the tour, comes from SKY SMEED. An American singer songwriter in the vein of Hank WIlliams or Willie Nelson. I confess I’ve never seen him live, but we’re excited to have him on board.

This tour is called “Small Town Celebration Tour”, which does what it says, takes in some more off the off the beaten track towns. Sorry Trowbridge, maybe next time 😉

Opening the show is Swindon’s TAMSIN QUIN, who is signed to Secret Chord Records. Tamsin is a fantastic artist and a huge Beans fan to-boot, but also a good friend, and it is fantastic to be able to offer her the opening slot – I know it means a lot to her! This gig also is a co-pro with our bestest Swindon promoters Songs Of Praise, who have just reached their 10 year anniversary! Well done chaps!

Tickets for the gig are expected to sell fast, so do grab them whilst they’re hot. Priced at the crazy cheap advance figure of £8, if any remain they will be £10 on the door.
