It’s 20 years of Britpop, as such we’re going to make a series of announcements featuring high profile figures from an era that defined music. Today I have the absolute pleasure of announcing JIM BOB, aka Jim Morrison. Front man of early 90’s heroes, CARTER USM, who scored a number one album with the seminal “1992 The Love Album” in, err 1992.
To say I’m excited is an understatement. The 90’s was my musical education, and specifically the Melody Maker & NME Indie. I spent my lunch money everyday in PR Sounds on 7″ singles, and raided my best friends only brothers CD shelf.
Jim’s tour will swing through town at The Lamb on Sunday 27th November 2016, the day after Manchester (no pressure then.). With support on the whole tour from CHRIS T-T, which means you have the opportunity to catch Chris in Devizes twice this year!
There will be no local support, as Jim will be performing a proper headline slot, and given that it’s a Sunday, we don’t want it to run too late. Due to the notoriety of the USM fans, the upstairs bar will be open.
Tickets go on sale TODAY, and we’re expecting it to sell out quick – Much like our Gary Stringer shows earlier this year, so don’t hesitate!
8pm – 8.40 – Chris T-T
9pm – finish – JIM BOB.
Here’s the lead single from “1992 The Love Album” and their biggest chat hit, “The Only Living Boy In New Cross”.
