OK, a slightly miss-leading strap line, as we’re not really ganging up ON Chris T-T, we’re ganging up FOR Chris T-T to return to the South West.
Chris has had a marvellous year way out here, with a lovely performance at SouthCider festival in Burton Bradstock much earlier this year, and an absolutely killer headline set at All Roads To Frome in August, not to mention a show or two in Bristol that I didn’t attend. (Can’t do em’ all kids.)
So it’s with the greatest of pleasures that Reuben Tyghe of RMT promotions in Bath and I are teaming up to bring Chris to The Nest, Bath for Halloween.
I haven’t done a show at The Nest since I rescued the post-fire, Johnny Foreigner gig at Moles, which burnt down in 2014. That show was great, and rather forced the venue to up it’s PA game, to carry more bookings over from Moles. I’d argue it has made Bath a lot more exciting in terms of what the city can offer local music, and with Reuben in the role of in-house booker, it looks set to really develop into something quite exciting.
Chris is touring a short headline tour titled “Love me, I’m a liberal” to support his 9th studio album, 9 Green Songs, check out the Facebook page for more info and tickets HERE.
I have an idea I’ve been promising Chris for ages, which I really, really hope to come to fruition for this gig. It involves masks, and since it’s Halloween, might be fitting.
Support for the gig comes from label mate, Non-Canon.
