We love Gaz, we always have. He’s a West Country perennial and he’s on tour again. Last time out we were promised Ben Wain, I don’t know if Ben is in the frame this time, but I do know Gaz will deliver another set of stone walled set of classic aggro-folk-punk.
He may well be playing in Swindon and Salisbury on this tour, but that hasn’t stopped the tickets selling, and for that I can’t thank you enough! It speaks volumes that so many of you are willing to travel to Devizes, when larger, more attractive towns are on our doorstep!
Check out this brilliant review from Louder Than War, about Gaz’s new album “I Know My Place” HERE. “He writes songs that we can all relate to, it is his story, but it is ours as well”
Gaz once again sold out Bristol’s Fleece venue (500 cap), with his all-star full band show, featuring Leks Woods (Devil Sold His Soul), Lukas Drinkwater (the most in demand double bassist), Nick Parker, Ben Wain and more. Though I stress this is a solo show, we do tentatively have our own full band show to announce soon.
Support for the show comes from my #AOTY album of the year in 2016, B-Sydes, who I haven’t seen in aaaaages. Since Trees possibly. Ben is well known in town now, he plays that song where we all sing the guitar harmonics, standing on chairs, remember? Completing the line up is local hero Mike Barham, who, with every show, every support, every song is finally beginning to deliver on the promise he has show for so long! Mike has some awesome stuff up his sleeve to announce soon, EP’s, more incredible support slots and a place amongst our hearts, right in the centre of our scene.
Tickets £8 advance from WeGotTickets, £10 otd.
