Yes, yes, we’re always delighted. I know that, you know that, I know that you know that, you know that I know that you’re delighted too, so let’s cut to the chase.

THOM WEEKS IS BACK IN TOWN.

My favourite bald headed punk rocker (Except all the others, because they’re my favs) principle singer, guitarist and songwriter in GNARWOLVES returns to Devizes.

We gave Gnarwolves their first headline date, on their first headline tour. That still tickles me pink, especially since Nai Harvest supported and G’Wolves have never let us down with amazing support bands (Woahnows, Crows An Wra, Boxkite etc).

This however will not be a show of Gnarwolves songs on acoustic guitar. This will be medley of choice covers, Thom’s solo material and Gnarwolves. (Don’t ask, I don’t know which songs, let us all just enjoy the surprise)

This gig has been on the cards for years, we’ve kept prompting Thom to come over knowing that every gig we’ve ever given him has been perfect and finally we have the solo show. We’re putting him in a tiny venue to maximise atmosphere, and he’s not demanding silly money, so we can make the show dead cheap, as such, I expect the gig to sell out well in advance.

As such we’ve had some fun with the supports. Another person we’ve been promising you we’d bring back is NICK PARKER. He’s been super lovely to watch before, his German song (sorry I don’t know the name) is still one of my 2000 Trees highlights and he even makes the effort to come to our shows, despite being crazy busy, touring all over the country, or in fact Europe too.

Completing the line up is my brother-from-another-mother BARRY DOLAN aka NON-CANON. Once known for his  in your face shouty acoustic guitar bashing, that bought him to the attention of Ben Marwood, Jim Locky, Frank Turner, and the home of Xtra Mile, Barry also does a mean gentle performance, whose lyrics seem an extension of the old act. His observations have a similar feel and his play on words is reminiscent, just in a completely different setting.

Basically it’s an amazing line up that I’m confident will draw on all 3 acts and continue our rich vein of form and create a party atmosphere.
