AXES hit the road, and visit Trowbridge

That’s right, this Big Scary Monsters signed, art-rock, noise & rhythm London based 4 piece, featuring an Iranian and a Viking, announce a brief whistle stop tour of the UK, AND stream new material via, Feckingbahamas.com.

Once again I am over the frickin’ moon that we’ve managed to get a band of this calibre to Wiltshire. It feels even better to say County Town of Wiltshire AND the number #1 Most Up-and-Coming-place-to-live. Obviously because of all the cool shows. Natch.

AXES are the embodiment of fun. Furiously fast guitar work, bouncy fun rhythms and just a glorious cacophony of noise. Their last album, “Glory” says it all. On the cover they’ll all riding horseback. Horseback. I’ve run out of superlatives. They’re great if you like loud fun music.

Support for the show will be Bristol / Chippenham / area poly-rhythm band, HOGGS BISON

You’ll remember them for their support slot to Alpha Male Tea Party at the Village Pump last August as a warm up to ArcTanGent, apt then this show is a warm up tp math festival Portals then.

Their debut album “Aeons” was marvellous and I’m proud as hell that we have musicians like this, following in the steps of Thought-Forms to showcase Wiltshire as a hotbed of experimental music.

Tickets for the show are available through TicketSource, WeGottickets or direct from Town Hall Arts

Sheer Festivals update!

Cure those Glastonbury woes.

I’ve read an awful lot today from the people NOT at Glastonbury, that it’s the worst thing ever not being there. So to help make up for the fact, the wonderful people at Terrascope and Sonic Sanctuary are producing a bespoke festival, right on our door step.

Let me introduce to you WOOLF MUSIC. >http://woolfmusic.blogspot.co.uk/<

Set in the plush venue and grounds of Cleeve House in Seend, this 2 day festival takes place at the height of summer on the 17th and 18th of August.

Boundary pushing music, artistic poetry set out in an almost controlled chaos, with both programmed and impromptu sets being played out of the weekend, it’s said it’s going to be more like a house party, than a festival.

I’ve been told there is going to be an awesome Coffee Bus at the event, along with all manner of catering and food, not to mention some international live music.

Head over to the website for further in detail information and pick up tickets etc.
