GNARWOLVES to open UK tour in Devizes

FINALLY it’s here – Sheer Music is proud to announce that quite possibly the  most exciting band in the UK underground right now, GNARWOLVES are to open their winter UK tour, in Devizes. 

Monday 9th December the band hit up The Corn Exchange. There’s a possibility of a skate and greet too at RampNation, which is still tbc but if the band can get here early enough, and we can sound check them early enough to let them loose, it might happen. 

The band have previously released EP’s through BSM, who are also quite possibly one of the best independent labels we have in the UK – So a big double whammy for us, and Wiltshire.

Fpr those new to the band, it’s punk rock with brains. Their CRU ep draw a lot of lyrics and references form Aldous Huxley’s book Brave New World. They are not a dumbed down, boy loves girl type Americanised punk pop. The vocals are gruff and very British. They are going to take over the world, on for this tour – it starts in the Corn Exchange. 

The line up continues in ridiculous fashion as Bath’s SELL YOUR SKY make their début in Devizes. They’ve recently been supporting bands like Enter Shikari, and have a new record to drop, sometime before this show we believe. Nai Harvest are the tours full support. They are pretty neat, since they make a whopping racket, akin to This Town Needs Guns, only as a 2 piece! The punkest band we have locally, Somewhat Snakes open. After a few local shows, we know this band will only get better, and it’s to their credit we’ve invited them to open.

You can buy tickets in advance from >>WE GOT TICKETS, HERE<<, which are £7. It’s £10 on the door, so you’d be savvy to do so. We’re limited on spaces, so only 150 will be available. 

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the local scene over the years, and enabled us to actually achieve these sorts of shows.  Fingers crossed for equally as exciting gigs in Devizes in 2014. If you’ve heard the rumours, they’re probably true.

Somewhat Snakes join punk show!

Throughout May, Abe Juggins and I are hosting the Devizes Festival showcase warm up shows, at The Bell By The Green in Devizes. These are a bunch of stand alone shows, which, fingers crossed will show the strength of the local scene.

The nights are themed, so we’re putting bands who compliment each other together, with the first show on May 10th being a waltz through metal and hardcore, including an anticipated headline set from HOMELAND. 

Friday May 17th, I am excited to say,  will now feature SOMEWHAT SNAKES, a new local, punk band whose EP I reviewed a week or so ago (scroll down).
